To the Supreme Family:
This report is sent with the kind permission of the Supreme Worthy Advisor, Mary Adeline Bradford.
It hardly seems possible that it has been almost a month since Supreme Assembly Sessions closed! They say that time flies, not so, time stays, we go....but it sure was fun and I sincerely hope that everyone who attended the ‘Rainbow – The Bridge to the Future’ Supreme Assembly Sessions of 2012 had an AWESOME TIME and hope that each of you returned home to your Jurisdiction with a renewed spirit from within. In spite of serving from a wheelchair which, for ten years, was hardly the way that I had anticipated it to be! But, nothing could have diminished the wonderful support and kindness that was given, so freely, to me!
I want to thank each of you for the part you participated in that helped our Supreme Sessions run so smoothly and for your thoughtfulness and love. How do I possibly thank the Rainbow family of Canada and Michigan for going above and beyond in their efforts on our behalf! The memory of that beautiful Supreme Assembly Room will be forever written upon my heart. The kindness and hospitality you offered to each guest at these Supreme Sessions was evident in all that you did. Wouldn’t you just have loved to see all those animals going down the highway on their way home to the various jurisdictions; I could imagine that there would be many questions from the occupants of the cars that passed them on their travels!
I want to say a very special thank you to our Convention Co-ordinators, Mary Adeline Bradford, our newly installed Supreme Worthy Advisor, and Roberta Russell, for their endless hours of work in making the arrangements for hotels, convention functions, bussing and countless other duties and for solving countless issues that arise at every Supreme Session.
To each Jurisdiction who hosted any function at these Sessions, please accept my gratitude for all of the endless hours that I know that you spent making these sessions so successful for our Rainbow Girls! I also thank you for all of the courtesies extended to me and my husband Tom. I will not try to name you as I would be devastated if I should miss anyone as all deserve our gratitude and appreciation.
To my Supreme Officers and Supreme Committee Members, please accept my sincere appreciation for accepting the responsibility for your 2010 – 12 Supreme Office or Committee Appointment and for your commitment to serve your Jurisdiction and the world of Rainbow! You are a most important part of our ‘Rainbow Family. I also want to thank all of the countless volunteers from the various Jurisdictions who work with our Assemblies around the world for their contributions so freely given. You are the people who attend the Subordinate Assemblies and sit on the sidelines or help us at our Grand Assemblies and still bring your Rainbow Girls to Supreme Assembly. We must always remember to tell them just how very much we appreciate their endeavours on behalf of our youth.
To our JML’s, your participation in assisting with electronic advancements in Rainbow and the many interesting changes that are happening throughout the world of Rainbow is of the utmost importance to our Organization. With your assistance, this information will be made known to our Rainbow Girls and Adult Supporters with the speed of the electronic age.
At the JML seminar at Supreme Sessions: I was most impressed, even with the small amount of time that I was able to spend with you. But, even in that time, it was evident how much knowledge and expertise that our JMLs have to share with ‘Rainbow’. I thank all who made the necessary arrangements for this session to happen!
A special thank you to Phil Moody, Michelle Behm, and their helpers for set-up and manning the Rainbow Table so that we could also buy many treasures to take home with us! I know the hours that you spent at our table and I want you to know how much you are appreciated!
Congratulations to Patti Snell and Michelle Behm, our newest recipients of the W Mark Sexson Award and to each recipient of the various awards that were presented. Thank you to Tennessee Rainbow for the Ritual Competition and donating the trophies and awards.
Following Supreme Sessions, I returned home with a delegation from Australia for a lovely visit and then we were all off to Canada’s Grand Assembly Sessions; congratulations and thank you Canada for all the courtesies extended to me and your beautiful Grand Assembly! I want to thank each Grand Jurisdiction that welcomed us during this term. You gave both Tom and me some very precious memories that we will treasure for the rest of our lives! What wonderful people I have had the opportunity of serving with!
I look forward to another very rewarding term serving Rainbow along with you, as I return to the ranks once more.
In Rainbow Love and Service,
Linda-Lee Little, Jr. Past Supreme Worthy Advisor
